They needed a presentation that matched the sophistication of what they'd built and made investors feel the opportunity immediately.

Making "Emotionally Intelligent AI" Feel Real

Here's the thing about a product like Upwage. The concept sounds futuristic, which is great for getting attention, but it also means investors need to understand exactly how it works before they'll write a check. The original messaging was too broad. It talked about AI hiring without showing why this approach was fundamentally different. The deck needed to take a complex, layered product and make it feel obvious. Like of course this is how hiring should work.

Strategy First, Design Second

We didn't jump into slides. We started with a strategy. What's the one sentence that makes an investor lean in? What data points matter most? What's the narrative arc that takes someone from "interesting" to "I need to be in this"? Once we had that locked, we rewrote the copy from scratch. Every slide got a clear job. Then we designed a visual system that felt modern, clean, and confident. The kind of deck that looks like it belongs to a company that's already figured it out.
